Moab City Police Training at GCHS June 14-16

Training will be conducted from 8am - 5pm daily. Expect to see dozens of police, fire, and EMS vehicles at the high school and a bustle of activity. The three-day training will include multiple scenarios will include the use of blank cartridges being used to simulate an active shooter and teach officers to go to the sound of gunfire.

Scenarios will also involve the rescue of "victims" by Police, EMS, Incident Command Scenarios, and communication protocols.

This will look and sound real. They will only be training at Grand County High School, thus any other locations where activity is observed may in fact be real-life actual police response. Please do not panic if loud sounds are heard in the area or buildings within the Grand County High School campus, as they will be training tools/blanks.

Please help us spread the message to your neighbors. We feel strongly about preparing our local responders to be able to professionally and competently respond to, and stop, active shooter or mass casualty events. Thank you all.
