Director's Message

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Grand Preschool! We are ready to start another great year of adventures in learning at Grand Preschool! We offer you a warm welcome to our preschool family of learners. Grand Preschool is a school staffed with energetic, caring and qualified adults who encourage and support all of our students.

My name is Sherrie Buckingham and I'm honored to be the Director of Grand Preschool. Your child will be spending an active and engaging, event-filled year of learning and educational opportunity at Grand Preschool.

The Grand Preschool staff encourages family involvement and hopes to build educational partnerships with you. By working together we can help each child achieve an excellent education in a safe and positive environment. Please contact your child's teacher to find out out how you can participate in preschool activities during pandemic conditions.

Our student handbook will provide you with useful information and should help answer questions about our school.

Our Preschool Re-Opening Plan will also provide you with useful information about how we are keeping students and staff safe during COVID-19.

Important Information:

Morning preschool sessions begin at 8:30 am. and end at 11:30

Afternoon preschool sessions begin at 12:30 am. and end at 3:00.

There is no preschool in session on Fridays

First day of school for preschool is Tuesday, September 6.

Bus transportation is provided for students of Grand Preschool

GCSD sent out a text to all parents and guardians yesterday notifying families about the lockdown. If you did not receive this text, please log into Aspire or reach out to your campus secretary to verify that your mobile phone number is up to date in our system. Thank you for helping us to ensure that we are able to contact all families effectively.

Lockdown Today

The lockdown is over. There was no threat. Everyone is safe and accounted for. Multiple hoax calls have claimed active shooter situations in various schools throughout the state. These calls are taken very seriously and are immediately looked into by law enforcement agencies. We ask the public to please stay calm as our local law enforcement partners have not verified the validity of these accusations and are currently looking into the origin of these calls.
